- Kelsie Martin Added August 03, 2017★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I took our cat in due to a tick bite and wanted to know my options, as soon as we got there she wanted to charge $1500 which is 3x the other two vets I had called prior to going in. Considering the cat had been to this vet before I thought they would be compassionate and understanding of the financial situation my family was under. $1500 is excessive when they only charge $100 to euthanise. So we had NO other option as they would not help us.
Once I had said we needed to euthanise her due to money issues the vet was rude, insensitive and wouldn't let us say goodbye to OUR pet. My brother (14) whose cat it was, was there with me very upset and the vet just told me to go out and 'fix the bill' like we were at a cafe. I was so shocked by this.
Where is the compassion?!
